Troubleshooting tips
- Search the list of ImmsBC Providers (Users) and then search the list of non-ImmsBC Providers (Contacts)
- Clear out the search bar completely, click elsewhere on the page, then try typing the name again
- Type the person's full name into the search bar, rather than starting with the last name or a partial match
- Type the person's name elsewhere, and then paste it into the search bar
- Check the spelling. If there is a possibility that the provider was added under a different name, try their alternate aliases.
- If the provider's name still does not appear, add them as a new Contact.
Why are there Users & Contacts? What's the difference?
How to add the immunizer's name to the picklist
1. Click on the More button.
2. Select Contacts from the drop-down arrow.
3. Click New to create a new contact.
4. Enter the Contact Information and click Save.
- First Name
- Last Name
-
BCH Designation: review the options in the drop-down menu carefully
- If this is unknown, please ask the clinic coordinator or immunizer to confirm.
- Users can also search the registries of the relevant profession (e.g. College of Physicians and Surgeons of BC or the BC College of Nurses & Midwives) to confirm professional designation
-
Email: please enter the immunizer's health authority or work email
- This helps distinguish between immunizers with same or similar names
- Many immunizers' emails will be listed in the employee directory: https://directory.healthbc.org/
The newly created contact will now be searchable in the pick list. Be sure to select Non-ImmsBC Provider (Contact) when typing their name.
Tip
For ImmsBC Classic users, the Contacts menu can only be accessed from Clinic in a Box.
