Vaccine inventory is loaded into ImmsBC via the Supply Console. A requirement for loading this vaccine inventory at your clinic location is selecting a Supply Distribution option from a pick list associated with your clinic.
A Supply Distribution is a generic term for where vaccine inventory is physically being stored at your clinic location. The generic name used at most clinic locations is Operational Fridge.
How do I create a Supply Distribution for my clinic?
1. Navigate to Supply Console (#1). From the dropdown menu, choose Supply Location (#2). Use the search bar (#3) to search for your clinic location by name. Select the clinic location from the list below (#4).
2. A new screen will appear. Select the Related tab (#1). The first section to appear on the new tab is called Supply Distributions. Locate and click the New button in this section, located on the far right side of the screen (#2). A new pop-up window will appear.
3. The pop-up window will already have your clinic location selected. Complete the mandatory fields (#1-2), and then click Save (#3).
- Choose a name for your Supply Distribution Description (#1 in image above)
-
- If your Clinic Location has more than one refrigeration unit, please differentiate the Supply Distribution Description names by function (e.g. Cooler, Operational Fridge, Quarantine Fridge, Operational Freezer, ULT Freezer, etc)
- Most Clinic Locations only have one Supply Distribution to select. However, when there are more than one option, user should select appropriately based on descriptive names
-
- Choose the Section field (#2 in image above) from a dropdown list, which should reflect the type of refrigeration unit being created (e.g. Refrigerated, Freezer, or None)
